Fields of interest

The research of Professor Iain Donnison aims to understand how plants function and how this information can be used to improve plant performance and utilization in the agricultural and built environments, both now and into the future. He works on temperate and tropical grasses, both in semi-natural and in farmed systems, to deliver sustainable, low-carbon solutions. Current research includes the defining of 'energy grass' ideotypes, grass breeding, the matching of crop and conservation issues to different end uses, green infrastructure and urban agriculture.

Job description

Company Members oversee all aspects of the ownership, support and operation of the Company itself and of its five published titles Annals of Botany, AoB PLANTS, in silico PlantsBotanyOne, and The Week in Botany. Professor Donnison has additional responsibilities towards AoB PLANTS.
